Ustream.tvにてiPhoneのViewerで観られるようにするには

Ustream.tv、すごいです。連日素晴らしいライブ映像が満載です。そして、自分でも簡単にストリーミング映像を流すことができます。

自分のチャンネルを開設して、ストリーミング配信を始めると、やっぱり少しでも多くの方に観てもらいたいもの。最近のブレイクはtwitter連携も少なからずあり、twitterで告知して観にきてもらう、という流れも結構あるといえそうです。

twitterつながりで考えると、iPhoneでの視聴環境も大事になってきます。Ustream.tvでは、iPhoneユーザに向けに、閲覧専用のアプリケーションを無料で提供しており、映像も音もかなり高品質でストリーミング再生してくれます。

ただ、唯一の問題は、iPhoneアプリ（Ustream Viewer）では、Ustream側で認められたチャンネルしか、見られないこと。つまりデフォルトでは自分のチャンネルはiPhoneアプリでは観られないのです。Ustream.tvサイトでは、下記のページに掲載基準と閲覧できるようにするための申請について記載があります。

簡単に言うと、ストリーミングコンテンツが閲覧にふさわしいかのチェックをして、OKならiPhoneでも観られるようにしてくれます。networks@ustream.tv 宛にメールを送ってね、となっていました。メール文では

• ユーザ名
• 自分のチャンネルのURLリンク
• だいたいどんな内容のものを流すのか

を伝えて、とのこと。

メールを送る前に、

• 自分のチャンネルのタイトルやロゴを設定しておくこと
• 少なくとも１つは映像を録画保存してあること。（でないと、内容確認できない）

はクリアしていることを確認しましょう。

承認までの時間はまちまちのようです。１週間かかるとおっしゃっている方もあれば、私は２日くらいで承認されました。
